Three steps to a public profile
Snapchat is built around its app, but public profiles can be viewed without it. This page brings that content together in one place.
Enter a username
Type the username as it appears on Snapchat, or paste a link to the profile.
We collect the public content
Our server loads the profile's basic details, its public story highlights and its latest Spotlight videos.
Watch or download
Switch between the Story and Spotlight tabs, open any item full screen, and save photos or videos you're allowed to keep.
What can you see on a public Snapchat profile?
Public profiles show more than most people expect. Here's what's available and what stays private.
Highlights and Spotlight
Public accounts can save story highlights to their profile, and they can post short videos to Spotlight, Snapchat's public feed. Both are meant to be seen by anyone, though Snapchat normally shows them inside its app.
One page instead of the app
Instead of installing Snapchat, you get the profile picture, display name, highlights and Spotlights in a single page, and nothing is added to your own Snapchat history.
Common reasons people use it
Checking a brand's or creator's public updates from a work computer, reviewing public content for research or reporting, or watching a Spotlight a friend mentioned when you don't have the app.
Private stays private
Only public profiles can be viewed. Snaps sent to you, chats, private stories and anything shared with friends only are never visible here.
Simple, quick and private
No fake download buttons, no redirects and no account requirements.
Not linked to you
The profile is loaded by our server, so your own Snapchat account plays no part and nothing appears in the owner's view list.
Save in full quality
Photos and videos are downloaded in the resolution Snapchat stores, with no watermark or logo added.
Good on any screen
The story player and profile card adapt to phones, tablets and desktop monitors.
Loads in seconds
Profiles and highlights normally appear within a few seconds of searching.
Viewing Snapchat stories fairly
A few notes on what you'll see and how to treat other people's content.
Empty profile?
Many accounts never save highlights or post to Spotlight. If both tabs are empty, the profile simply has nothing public to show.
Usernames, not display names
Search with the username (the one used in snapchat.com/add/...) rather than the name shown on the profile.
Don't repost without asking
Highlights and Spotlights belong to the people who made them. Ask before sharing their photos or videos anywhere else.
Live stories expire
Stories that aren't saved as highlights disappear after 24 hours, so something you saw yesterday may no longer be available.
Common questions
The account owner isn't notified. Profiles are fetched by our server without logging in, so there's no view tied to you.
Story shows the highlights the owner has saved to their profile. Spotlight shows the short public videos they've posted to Snapchat's feed, which you can swipe through one by one.

No. Everything runs in your web browser on phones, tablets and computers.
No. Private accounts and content shared with friends only are not accessible. That's a limit of Snapchat's privacy settings, and we respect it.
Yes. Photos and videos are saved at the resolution Snapchat provides, which is usually HD for videos.
The ring appears only when the account has a live story that's less than 24 hours old, just like in the app. Saved highlights on their own don't trigger it.
