Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Anonimo Stories ("we", "us" or "our") handles information when you use anonimostories.com and its tools (the "Service"). We built the Service around one idea: you shouldn't have to give up your own privacy to look at public content. This page describes exactly what that means in practice.

1. Information we do not collect

• We do not ask you to create an account or give us your name.
• We never ask for, receive or store your Instagram, Facebook, TikTok or Snapchat username or password.
• We do not keep a history of the usernames or links you search, and we do not link searches to you.
• We do not sell personal information.

2. Information processed when you use a tool

When you enter a username or paste a link, that username or link is sent to our server so it can fetch the public content you asked for. To do this, our server passes the username or link to third-party data providers that retrieve publicly available information from Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and Snapchat, and it streams photos and videos from those platforms' media servers to your browser. If you choose "audio only", the audio is extracted on our server at that moment and the temporary file is not kept.

This information is used only to answer your request. We don't store the content you view or download, and we don't build profiles of the accounts people look up.

3. Information collected automatically

Like almost every website, our web server and our service providers automatically receive some technical information when you visit, such as:

• your IP address and approximate location derived from it;
• browser type, device type and operating system;
• the pages you open, the time of the request and the referring website.

We use this information to deliver pages, keep the Service secure, prevent abuse such as automated scraping, and understand overall usage. Server logs are kept for a limited period and then deleted.

4. Browser storage on your device

The Service may use your browser's local storage for small conveniences, for example to remember a setting while you browse. This data stays on your device and is not sent to us. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

5. Cookies and advertising

The Service is free because it is supported by advertising. We display, or may display, ads served by Google AdSense and other advertising partners. These partners may use cookies, web beacons and similar technologies to show ads and measure their performance.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

6. Analytics

We may use privacy-friendly analytics tools to understand, in aggregate, which pages are used and how the Service performs. Analytics data is not used to identify individual visitors.

7. Third-party services

We rely on a small number of service providers to run the Service: hosting providers, data providers that retrieve public social media content, and advertising and analytics partners. They process information only as needed to provide their service and under their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Snapchat or any external website you reach through a link on our pages.

8. Legal bases (EEA, UK and Switzerland)

Where data protection laws such as the GDPR apply, we process information on the basis of our legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving the Service; on your consent for non-essential cookies and personalized advertising; and, where relevant, to comply with legal obligations.

9. Data retention

Search requests are not stored once the result has been delivered. Technical logs are kept only as long as reasonably needed for security and troubleshooting, and are then deleted or anonymized. Emails you send us are kept as long as needed to answer you and handle any follow-up.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR in Europe or the CCPA/CPRA in California, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your local data protection authority. 11. Security

The whole site is served over encrypted HTTPS connections, and internal files are protected from public access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect the limited information we handle.

12. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13, or under 16 where local law sets a higher age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

13. International users

Our servers and service providers may be located in countries other than yours. By using the Service, you understand that information may be processed in those countries, which may have different data protection rules.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site.
